Belated Lunar New Year Meal in New York City’s Chinatown

As much as I love my job, I love family and friends even more. I was extremely sad that I would not be in Vietnam this year for Tết because of my work-related trip to New York City, but having Tito here for a few days of vacation has been great.

We decided to consider today’s meal at Canton Kitchen in Chinatown our belated Lunar New Year meal together. None of the food was Vietnamese or special to the new year but it didn’t really matter.

I can say without a doubt that this meal has been the best one I’ve eaten in New York City during the last few days, and that includes taking pizza into consideration. Everything was wonderful, if a bit pricey for the whole set. Funny enough, one of the cheapest items on the menu (the wonton soup) was one of the best dishes of the meal.
